In the 80’s Dave began working with trees when his father, Ralph Spilsbury started Green Tree Service, a tree care company specializing in treating trees dying from nutrient deficiencies. In 1993 with Ralph, Janelle, and Jeremy Spilsbury he co-founded Tree Doctors Inc. a company specializing in tree health care. In 1997 the company expanded its service offerings to include pruning, removal and stump grinding services. This expansion completed hooking Dave into the tree service industry as he reconnected with his boyhood love of tree climbing. In 1998, to better service expanding clientele, Dave founded Tree Doctors North, Inc. a full service tree company servicing Scottsdale, Phoenix and Paradise Valley. Tree Doctors Inc. continues to service the East Valley and is run by Jeremy Spilsbury today. Dave received his ISA Arborist Certification in 1996 and Tree Worker Certification in 1997. Dave has been actively involved in promoting tree care and climbing education in Arizona. He helped found the Arizona Tree Climbing Championship in 2004. He graduated from Arizona State University in May of 2010 with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies with emphases in Business and History. He currently serves as President of Tree Doctors North. |

Patti Spilsbury is the wife of Dave Spilsbury, and the CFO and co-owner of Tree Doctors North. She received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education from Brigham Young University and subsequently taught Elementary School for seven years- four of these years in Arizona. Currently she oversees the accounting and continual improvement of Tree Doctors North. |

Sue is who you will normally talk to when you call our office. She is a native Arizonan. Her love for the outdoors comes naturally as she was raised in a family with several certified arborists as well as her father Ralph Spilsbury who holds a Ph. D. in Agronomy. She owned and ran her own Montessori Enrichment Center here in the Valley for 12 years before moving on to be the Office Manager at Tree Doctors North in 2006. Her customer service and scheduling skills are a vital asset to the company. |
